Sneha Kiran of Mysore Spastic Society is a non-profit organization established in 2002. This rehabilitation centre started functioning on June 14, 2004, with the help and guidance of a group of dedicated parents, philanthropists and volunteers including medical professionals, paramedical professionals, and other interested members of the community. Currently 105 children have registered with us and 60 of them attend the centre on a regular basis. The majority are from the economically weaker section of the society.
These children deserve an opportunity to improve their quality of life by building their self-confidence and self-esteem. We render professional services to these children, their parents, and the community. The services include medical, therapeutic, educational, and psychological intervention. A team of medical and paramedical professionals provide counselling, training, and guidance to the parents to assist them to deal with the various needs of their children.
Currently, ours is the only center in Mysore, which provides multiple services (rehabilitation, education, therapeutic and other services) all under one roof to this particular population of children with CP. This service has been welcomed gratefully by the parents of children with CP.
